Out of Town
Desiree is a well-respected stage and film actress from Perth, Western Australia. Her most notable stage performances to date have been playing a fiery defence lawyer, Fabiana Cunningham, in Stephen Adly Guigis' The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, and Queen of the Fairies, Titania, in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Both roles gained her critical praise for handling them with grace and power. On screen her performances have included playing a young police woman in John V Soto's feature film, The Reckoning; a vengeful, jilted zombie lover in the comedy short Superdingo vs Zombies; and a fragile young mother haunted by her past in Visitation. Desiree is always dedicated to training and improving herself as an actor and has been fortunate enough to study masterclasses and short courses with Howard Fine, Amy Lyndon, Chum Ehelepola, Ashley Wain and Fern Nicholson of Nicholson's Academy of Screen Acting, among others. When she's not acting, Desiree loves painting, drawing, riding motorbikes, being an art and ancient history nerd, hanging out with puppy dogs and playing roller derby.
