Born and raised in the West side of Melbourne, Ani has always had an enthusiastic
approach to the arts. Her early years include touring numerous Shakespeare plays
for the Maffra Shakespeare festival for VCE Theatre Studies, which included Twelfth
Night, in which she was the lead Viola.
Following graduation from secondary school, she travelled Europe settling in London
for almost 3 years, where she continued to lightly pursue acting.
Her passion took a more serious path, when she was accepted into the Ward Acting
Studio’s six week Meisner Technique intensive in New York City.
In returning to Melbourne, Ani landed numerous lead roles in independent short
films, supporting roles in features, a national campaign for International Women’s
Day, and advertisement for Amazon Australia. She also performed as a lead in the
play, “The Cut”, for the 2017 Fringe Festival.
Ani strongly believes there is always more knowledge to gain as an actor and over
the last year, has completed an array of short courses which reinforce that mindset.
Some of those include: Integrated Actor training (The Suzuki Acting Method) with
Emma Pursey, a Casting workshop with Amanda Mitchell and the general U.S
accent with Matt Furlani.
She is also a writer and an ambassador for the Yes Queen, an initiative aimed at
erasing bullying in the workplace.
