Melle SmithMelle Smith is a versatile, self-motivated and professional artist with a positive and energetic demeanour. Melle is an emerging actor, singer, dancer, choreographer, linguist and writer. Melle studied acing at school and then University, with over 10 years experience in theatre (drama and musical) and experience in web and TV commercials. Most recently, Melle was an extra on the Ben Elton feature film Three Summers. Melle is particularly interested in pursuing a career in film, TV and stage and continues to develop in this area. Melle was a member of the Australian Youth Choir in her youth, continuing her vocal training as an ensemble member and through private tuition as a soloist. Melle has trained in a variety of dance styles (predominantly Ballroom, Latin, Jazz, Commercial and Musical Theatre) for over 20 years with a Cert IV from Brent Street Studios (Sydney) and a Diploma from the Principal Academy of Dance (Perth). Melle has choreographed six amateur musicals, winning the Robert Finley for Best Choreography (Hairspray) in 2012. Melle speaks French and Indonesian, has experience in stage fighting and has dual citizenship in Australia and Britain. In her free time, Melle enjoys reading, creative writing, travel writing, yoga, puns and leading a healthy, diverse lifestyle.
