John FloodJohn has received customer service awards from two of Perth's top entertainment venues for his friendly customer service and spruiking skills. Known as the voice of Radio Lollipop (Princess Margaret Hospital) in the mid to late 1990's John went on to perform in a variety of local theatre groups in both drama and musical theatre productions. John played the role as in the Wizard of Oz at the Regal Theatre. During November and December each year John is found entertaining young people in his role play of Father Christmas for some large department stores in Perth. He has appeared in a number of films including Let's Get Scase, Cloudstreet, and Prospero's TV movie on C Y O'Connor in the Constructing Australia series shown on the ABC. He has featured in short films including Choices, a student film by WA Screen Academy students at Edith Cowan University. He has featured in a variety of TV ads including promotions for the Irish Airline Air Lingus, the Western Australian Government and The Lotteries Commission. Over the past number of years he has been a regular contributor and reporter covering entertainment events for a number of Perth radio stations and the former Channel 31 TV station now WTV. John has also written children's stories and currently writes on entertainment matters for Western Australia's Irish Scene Magazine. John's Irish heritage and sense of humour is widely appreciated by a number of voluntary organizations (youth and homeless) of which he is a proud volunteer.
