Soulful jazz, swing, blues, and contemporary music singer and actor, Jake Dennis’ talent lies in his ability to capture audiences with heartfelt and passionate performances on stage and on screen. A seasoned, focused, and committed entertainer who has performed on stage, radio, and screen since childhood, Jake Dennis has a Bachelor of Arts in Literary and Cultural Studies/Creative Writing from Curtin University where he studied performance, textual analysis, and scriptwriting units. After numerous and continued acting courses and vocal training with industry professionals since his youth, Jake Dennis has presented and performed sold out cabarets at Western Australia’s best venues incl. Downstairs at His Majesty’s Theatre, Fringe World, Ellington Jazz Club, Rigby’s Bar & Bistro, Laneway Lounge, and the Don Russell, Kalamunda, Mandurah, and Subiaco Performing Arts Centres as well as live on national and local Australian TV and radio shows including X Factor and on Aurora TV, RTR FM, Telethon, Fremantle Radio, Pirate Radio, Heritage FM & Twin Cities Radio FM. Described as "charming and engaging... with a voice as smooth as his appearance" by Perth Theatre Reviews, and as having "a fine voice and an impressive vocal range...[with] talent, with, and presence," by the Australian Stage, Jake Dennis has appeared in local independent films and TVCs for LotteryWest, TAB Racing, The Australian School of Management, and in Showtime's screening of Madonna's Rebel Heart Tour! Always prepared and easy to work with, Jake has a wealth of life and working experience to draw on, having worked in educational roles, promotional work, and children's and wedding entertainment.
