Sam Stopforth

Member of the Midnite Youth Theatre Company during high school, in his senior year (2011) Sam was awarded drama colours, the Leo award for outstanding acting in his final production, the subject prize for drama in his grade and achieved in the top 1% of drama students in the state. Since leaving school he has been a part of numerous on screen escapades including several lead and supporting roles in short films around Perth, as well as work on commercials. He was chosen as the lead in Danny Green’s nation wide coward’s punch advert, shown on numerous television, cinema and print campaigns around the country. He has also had notable work on feature films such as Kriv Stenders ‘Kill Me Three Times’ where he acted as Simon Pegg’s stand in. Sam is currently studying a Bachelor of Performing Arts at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and is due to graduate in November of 2016. The course hones skills in not only acting but also writing and directing among other things. When he is not studying he works as a Partner Support Representative for Uber as a part of a small thirty-person team that runs and oversees all of Uber’s activity in Western Australia. He also enjoys playing rugby, basketball and guitar. He is the front man for the band ‘Boykie’, a Folk Grunge outfit from Perth. His original music has been used to soundtrack multiple short films and various brand promotional material over the last four years as well as a state aired Woodside commercial, which focused on a life saving initiative in Northern Western Australia. He loves what he does endlessly.
