George Gayler

George is a graduate of the Film and Television Institute of WA’s Screen Acting Diploma. She has also trained at Flinders University and with WAAPA and NIDA through their open programs. George has appeared on stage and on television, in film and in print, radio and televised ad campaigns. Her most recent credits include roles in the Blue Room Theatre’s award nominated play, ‘I (honestly) Love You’ (soon to tour Edinburgh and New York Fringe festivals); award-winning web series, ‘Super Dingo’; and in her own Perth Fringe production, ‘The Suitcase Set’. In 2010, George was awarded Best Actress at the WA Finley Awards for Independent Theatre for her role as Maggie The Cat in GRADs production of ‘Cat On A Hot Tin Roof’. George is also a member of Perth/Melbourne improvised comedy group, The Big Hoo Haa; a produced playwright, and a published author of poetry and short prose. She is currently in the process of codevising a new work for Melbourne’s 2013 Fringe Festival.
