An ambitious, enthusiastic, effervescent and strikingly passionate talent – Emily began her dedication to the arts from an extremely young age. Emily is a born and bred ‘Northern lass’, from a small town near Manchester, UK– calling herself a humble ‘Northerner from t’up North.’ Up until the age of 18 she was performing with local theatre groups in both plays and musicals, completing all LAMDA examinations and working with the National Youth Theatre of Britain in London. At the age of 18, Emily moved to London to study at the prestigious East 15 Acting School gaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Acting. This training gave her the opportunity to learn various techniques that can be related to all levels of performance – LABAN, Stanislavski, Meisner, Uta Hagen and especially Joan Littlewood’s ‘Theatre Workshop.’ Since graduation in 2014 Emily has had the opportunity to tour throughout Europe with two major theatre companies – Whitehorse Theatre and Moving On; performing productions for children and adults alike to over 250,000 people. Upon her return to the UK, Emily was fortunate to work with the National Theatre of China on their adaptation of The Lesson. Emily has also been privileged to work with Channel 4 on a mini series that was broadcast throughout Britain.
Emily is absolutely devoted to all mannerisms of performance – from the excitement of performing to a different audience every night in theatre, to exploring intimacy and subtext with character’s and their relationships whilst in front of the camera.
